Ntawm ntau hom hluav taws xob motors, feem ntau siv yog AC asynchronous motor (tseem hu ua induction motor). Nws yog qhov yooj yim rau siv, txhim khu kev qha hauv kev ua haujlwm, pheej yig, thiab muaj zog hauv cov qauv, tab sis nws lub zog tseem ceeb kuj tsis tshua muaj, thiab kev tswj ceev yog qhov nyuaj dua.
Synchronous motors (saib Synchronous Motors) feem ntau yog siv rau loj - muaj peev xwm, qis - kev siv fais fab ceev. Synchronous motors tsis tsuas yog muaj lub zog loj, tab sis lawv qhov ceev kuj yog ywj siab ntawm qhov loj me, txiav txim siab tsuas yog los ntawm daim phiaj zaus. Lawv ua haujlwm ruaj khov dua. DC motors feem ntau siv rau hauv daim ntawv thov uas xav tau ntau yam kev tswj ceev. Txawm li cas los xij, lawv muaj cov commutator, cov qauv tsim, kim, nyuaj los tswj, thiab tsis tsim nyog rau qhov chaw hnyav.
Txij li thaum xyoo 1970, nrog rau kev txhim kho ntawm lub zog hluav taws xob thev naus laus zis, AC lub cev muaj zog tswj kev siv tshuab tau maj mam loj hlob, thiab cov khoom siv tau txo qis, ua rau lawv cov ntawv thov dav.
Qhov siab tshaj plaws tso tawm tshuab hluav taws xob uas lub tshuab hluav taws xob tuaj yeem tiv taus raws li kev ua haujlwm tshwj xeeb (kev ua haujlwm tsis tu ncua, luv- lub sijhawm ua haujlwm, kev ua haujlwm tsis sib xws) tsis ua rau kub dhau yog hu ua nws lub zog ntsuas. Cov lus qhia tshwj xeeb ntawm daim ntawv teev npe yuav tsum tau ua tib zoo saib thaum siv. Thaum ua haujlwm ntawm lub tshuab hluav taws xob, nws yog ib qho tseem ceeb los xyuas kom meej tias cov yam ntxwv ntawm lub load yog txuam nrog cov yam ntxwv ntawm lub cev muaj zog kom tsis txhob overheating los yog stalling. Lub tshuab hluav taws xob muaj peev xwm muab tau ntau lub zog, txij li milliwatts mus txog kaum txhiab kilowatts.
Fais motors yog yooj yim heev rau siv thiab tswj, muaj peev xwm xws li tus kheej - pib, acceleration, braking, thim rov qab, thiab nres. Feem ntau, cov zis hluav taws xob ntawm lub tshuab hluav taws xob sib txawv nrog nws qhov nrawm thaum hloov kho qhov ceev.
